When The New York Times attacks Trump it is not because they are anti-war. It criticizes Trump for his crassness and lack of planning.
For Democratic rags like the NYT the war must be properly planned along with advice from the CIA. The Times could care less about the deaths of the leaders of Iran, nor their population. The Times simply wants to get the Democratic Party more involved in conducting the war.
