Feminists of today are rightly accused of not including working-class women in their struggle. But this hasn’t always been the case. There is a new movie that will premiere on PBS in February, a remake of the movie 9 to 5. The movie emphasizes the collective efforts of women to rise out of the “pink ghetto” of dead-end clerical jobs and low pay, where “sexual harassment” wasn’t even part of our vocabulary.
