In natural resources, the African continent is the richest in the world. Yet thanks to Western imperialism, Africa is the home of some of the poorest countries on earth. But this is changing. The multi-polar forces offer these countries a deal they can’t refuse. These include Russian negotiations with the 23 nations of the Arab League about issues of food, the economy and diplomacy. There is a railway being built to connect Cairo to the Red Sea. Lastly, the Pan-African Payment and Settlement system will allow countries to settle their payment balances in local currency rather than the dollar.
