Liberals like to imagine that there is a great deal of difference between the Wall Street Journal, the New York Times and the Washington Post. Some are liberal and some are conservative we are told. But what they all have in common is a neoliberal demand for austerity which is displayed in their celebration of Macron’s attempt to increase the age for collecting pensions in France. One of their headlines reads “The Party Is Ending for French Retirees”.
