For those of you who don’t know, Michael Roberts not only writes insightful articles but has written a great book called The Long Depression. His work defends Marx’s claim that the death of capitalism will be caused by the rate of profit to fall.
At least twice year he reviews books written during the year, or in this case, this spring which attempts to explain capitalism either historically or cross-culturally. As usual, he is objective in his presentation but then points out the problems with each of the books he reviews.
