In the French runoff elections, at least as important as Macron’s win is the fact that 28% of the French population did not vote. This is the lowest turnout in over 50 years.
In the primary elections Macron got 28% of the vote, Le Pan 24%, and the far-left candidate got 22%.
So, on the whole 72% of the French rejected Macron. Michael Roberts predicts that under his center right policies the economic situation in France will deteriorate.
