Massive Support For First San Francisco Teachers’ Strike in 47 Years

6,400 SF educators out on strike supported by custodial workers, students and even some principals and administrators. 10,000 people rallied to show support.
Tatiana, a paraeducator had this to say.

“It’s ridiculous. We’re one of the richest cities in the world and we’re not paying our educators? I have two jobs. I work another job so I can do the job that I do at school. I babysit on the weekends so I work six to seven days a week. There’s no way that you can live in the city of San Francisco on a paraeducator’s wage. It’s impossible.”
