Marxian Political Economist Michael Roberts’ Favorite Economics Books of 2021

We are in for a special treat as Marxian political economist Michael Roberts reviews some of his favorite books from last year. Michael can always be counted on, not just to be knowledgeable about Marxian crisis theory, but also its liberal competitors. He starts out reviewing books by liberals Adam Tooze and Mariana Mazzucato. As usual, he discusses the pros and cons of each. He then turns to three Marxian books on the rise of China and closes with his favorite book, The Twilight of Capitalism by Murray E. G. Smith.
