The fact that the city of Gaza lays in ruin might give some the idea that there is a relationship between military destruction and victory. But in this case, none of the Israeli military objectives have been met.
Hamas and other Palestinian groups are still there. All the Israeli military has done is ruin its already sordid reputation of killing women and children. Its own citizens are calling for Netanyahu’s resignations and the Zionist newspapers are admitting defeat.
