In France, the Party on the Left is Now the Party on the Right

60% of the French population supports a general strike to cripple the French economy in reaction to Macron’s cuts to pensions. And how do the French unions react? They don’t endorse further striking until March 7th. What is to happen in between now and March 7th? Workers are supposed to write to Parliament and ask them not to pass the bill. These unions are bureaucracies protecting their own self-interest, and are mostly supported by employer and state funds rather than worker economic support.
