Identity Politics Challenged in Democratic Party
Identity politics has now come under fire in the Democratic Party as one reason to explain its pathetic loss to Donald Trump. True to its ruling class origins, white Democrats do not emphasize social class as an alternative focus. But then, neither do identity politics advocates within the Democratic Party, itself. It seems that all those Democratic Party folks still don’t get it – that class issues brought about Trump’s election.
