Honduras’ severing ties with the secessionist Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) authorities on Taiwan island and its firm support for one-China principle has highlighted China-Honduras ties. Honduras will export shrimp, bananas, melons, cigars and other agricultural products. In exchange Honduras will be included in projects connected to China’s Belt Road Initiative.
