Providence hospital workers in Oregon rejected paltry offers from employers and voted to extend their 4 week-long strike. The ratio of nurses to patients on the floor has gone from 3 to 1 to 4 to 1 with a cut in nursing aid assistants.

From personal experience we know that trying to get care while in a hospital is like talking to a revolving door of different nurses every 3 or 4 hours. This has to do with the employers refusing to hire more staff and cutting the nurses work hours to a reasonable shift length.
