All trade unions in the West are doubly blind. On one hand they fail to have any domestic vision of workers taking over the workplaces. On the other they have no international vision of workers joining with other workers to create a socialist future. In Germany the DGB trade union confederation has supported the SPD and the German Greens in siding with Israel. The unions did this in spite of mass protests for Palestinians in Germany. It couldn’t be more clear that the unions are in bed with their rulers rather than with their own working class.
