This is a good article summarizing the German Federal Elections. The biggest news is that the SPD had its worst showing in decades with 16% of the vote. The AfD right-wing party received 20. 5% with a large following of workers who believe the party will provide jobs. The Left Party made gains of 8.7% with the largest vote coming from young people and was its largest showing in Berlin.
