Finance Capital Stock Market Rises As Physical Economy Deteriorates
In the United States most economists seem to think that investment in finances is an indicator of the health of the economy. But according to Michael Hudson, what corporations are really doing is investing in their own companies so their stock rises and investors will be drawn to them. This has nothing to do with the circulation of real goods and services.
