The 2015 Co-op Tour will be on Thursday, April 30, 2015  from 1pm to 6pm. The bus will depart from the Midtown Sacramento Courtyard Marriott promptly at 1pm and end at Pachamama Coffee Co-op where participants are invited to stay for a reception (or return to the hotel).

Tour participants will go behind the front doors of these diverse co-ops to see and learn the “cooperative difference” for each, including: how they democratically govern the business, how the cooperative serves members, and how members share the profits or other benefits of the business. The tour will include:

Blue Diamond Growers is an agricultural marketing cooperative of family farmers that started in 1910.

Sacramento Natural Foods is a consumer food cooperative that has served the Sacramento community since 1973.

A local housing cooperative that promotes affordable home ownership. (pending)

Artists’ Collaborative Gallery is a cooperative of 30 local artists featuring unique fine art, ceramics, glass, gourds, jewelry, metal, photography, textiles, wire sculpture, wood and fiber art.

Pachamama Coffee Cooperative is a farmer-owned cooperative of growers from five coffee-growing nations.
