At its convention this weekend the DSA leadership has a tall order in front of it. It must convince its membership that AOC’s endorsement of Joe Biden has something to do with socialism. It must persuade its membership that arming Ukrainian fascists has something to do with socialist anti-militarism. Finally, it hopes its members are prepared to look the other way as DSA-endorsed candidates voted to make the railroad strike illegal earlier this year.
