If you left your college economics class more confused than when you went in you are not alone. One of the problems of mainstream economics is its use of mathematical formal logic in social circumstances which is too complicated for the equations.
It also treats individuals as rational actors. If this is true then why does capitalism need advertising? Mainstream economics pretends there are no politics in economics. If there weren’t, how do we explain Maduro’s kidnapping in order to have access to Venezuelan oil?
