Chinese Women as Victims of Patriarchy? Forget It!

This article challenges many stereotypes of Chinese women.

One is to confuse Chinese women with the docility of Japanese women. Not true! In the Chinese workforce, there are more women employed as engineers, scientists and mathematicians than anywhere in the world. Secondly, in business negotiations the author claims the women are tougher than the men. They also show great analytical skill in imagining the moves of their opponents. Thirdly, in economics, they are among the biggest capitalist tycoons in China. They are also heavily employed in the military.
