Many anarchists think they are shaking the foundations of world capitalism by announcing they are against all states around the world, including those claiming to be socialist. Further, they imagine that all trade relations between what world-systems theory calls “core vs periphery ” relationships are necessarily imperialist. This article is a good test case of whether China is imperialist. Does trading and sharing military equipment, industrial and agricultural materials belong to imperialism?
