While Neoliberal Democrats continue to pump out black propaganda about their “robust” economy, the job figures for February tell the real story. Well over 84,000 jobs have been cut, the highest for this time period since the Great Recession.
This is 9% more than job cuts in 2023. These jobs cuts and raising of interest rates were not due to “market forces”. They were a deliberate attempt to lay off workers in order to win back a higher percentage of profits. Why have capitalists lost profits? Work stoppages have quadrupled and the number of the largest strikes have doubled.
