Amazon Exploits Worker Nomads Living in Cars

By 2020 1 out of 4 “workampers” will have worked for Amazon. Amazon is one of the most aggressive recruiters of these people, particularly during peak holiday season, to work for $11.50 an hour.

Many of them are of or past retirement age but can’t afford to pay rent and need the income. They work 10 hour and longer shifts and are terminated after the season. Because they live in their campers they then move on to the next gig. All the while, Amazon is getting bigger and richer, thanks to the murderous capitalist system we live in.
