French Unions Are Part of the Problem: Strikes Must Continue Without Them

In a move typical of French unions tied to the apron strings of employers, the unions have called on the French people to withdraw from striking and only resume on June 6th. This is clearly a tactic to take the wind out of the sales of strikers while giving the unions a chance to control the strikes. Their call to negotiate with Macron or the National Assembly ignores that both have of them have already taken rigid stances. As the article says, the strikers must form or expand their own organizations and leave the unions in the dust.
