60 Amazon Workers Abandon Delivery Centers at Crucial Supply Chain Points

Labor Notes reports that about 60 workers walked off the job at delivery centers that are critical points in Amazon’s supply chain. This effort was coordinated at centers in NYC and parts of Maryland by rank-and-file committees. These workers think small and big. At a small level  they are asking for a $3 pay raise, the restoration of a 20-minute break and an end of understaffing. But on a larger scale they are talking about deciding things themselves on the shop floor. One worker said “Today, we said that the world can work differently. As workers, we can democratically decide how our workplaces should be, and we can make it so.”
