After about 18 months of absence due to COVID, the Yellow Jackets have returned. Despite 11,000 arrests, 1,000 imprisonments, 5,000 seriously hurt and 1,000 critically injured in 2019, they are back in three hundred French cities. Throughout 2019, they have enjoyed a 60% approval rating by the French population. The writer calls the Yellow Jackets the most class-conscious formation in the Western world. Too bad for Macron, since the French elections are coming up.
