The continuing uprisings against the killing of George Floyd is not only multi-racial but working class. This threatens two groups. It threatens the Democratic Party that represents the upper middle class because it has no presence in these protests. Secondly, the presence of whites in the protests threatens upper middle class blacks who have positions as lawyers, professors, high civil service and military positions at stake. Both these groups seek to drive a racial wedge between working class protesters by claiming that whites are “outside agitators” or “anarchists”.
