Trader Joes is one of our favorite grocery stores. They have wide isles and a staff which is very well trained in interpersonal skills without being obsequious. They seemed happy with their jobs. Little did we know about the company’s dirty tricks against union organizing. Workers are in the process of deciding whether to stick with the existing grocery workers’ union (UFCW) or set up independent unions.
