This is an excellent article which explains why so much of the US agitation over Ukraine has to do with the control Russian natural gas has over some countries in Europe. These countries include Germany, Austria, the Czech Republic, and France. Unlike under Angela Merkel, the so-called “left” government today in Germany appears to be taking its marching orders from a decaying empire, thousands of miles away. War would have a devastating impact on the European stock market.
