The blockade that Iran has set up has clear geopolitical consequences which are beneficial to BRICS countries. First, these countries are allowed to pass through the Strait whereas the West cannot.
Secondly, Iran insists payments are to be made with Chinese currency, strengthening China and weakening the dollar. Most of the world admires and supports Iran. Trump’s blockage benefit no one including the US ruling class and working class population. The image is of Trump’s dream come true which is to expand his image.
