Iran has planned for this war with Mordor and Israel for decades and its shows. They control of the Strait of Hormuz. They are using cost effective drone warfare and their diplomacy to make friends in high places (China and Russia) and low places (the support of Hezbollah, Shite Militias in Iraq and the Houthis in Yemen).
The article speaks of fragile alliances but this is not the case with Iran, thanks to its relationship with BRICS. The real fragile alliances are now between Israel and the United States and between Europe and the United States.
