The stereotype of Iranians are often that they are fanatical Islamic fundamentalists who are anti-science and oppress women.
But these stereotypes are part of a much larger propaganda machine that paints non-Americans in a simplistic dualistic way which helps to infantilize geopolitical thinking on the part of non-elites in Mordor. These 6 films undermine this propaganda by revealing complex people of a civilization which is thousands of years old.
