Richard Wolff Asks and Answers Question Why Socialism Persists

For at least the past 150 years capitalist mouthpieces have told us that socialism isn’t realistic. Before the success of the Russian Revolution we were told socialism was a utopian dream.

After the Russian Revolution, capitalist apologists cherry picked everything that was wrong with the Soviet Union, suppressing  what worked well. The same was done with China and Cuba and Venezuela. Yet despite all the black propaganda, these societies continue to exist with much of the working-class population happy with the results.  Lastly, in the United States, a poll taken a couple of years ago found that almost half the US population in their twenties are sympathetic to socialism. Why is this?
