This is a long and interesting article on the history of scientific research into COVID and the development of a vaccine over the last year, including the company Moderna which has a 94.5% probability of working. In terms of which countries will receive the vaccine first, it’s what you might expect. Wealthy countries representing 13% of the population will receive 50% of all doses. 61% of the world population will not have the vaccine until 2022. One capitalist contradiction is that most of those people who fail to receive the vaccine will die or be too sick to work. Who will produce the profits?
