Workers around the world are proving that they don’t need established unions to strike. In some places like Yankeedom, workers sometimes are not even in unions. In Italy, there was a strike a few days ago involving thousands of workers who were part of a rank-and-file union. However, these workers broke away from their entrenched bureaucratic union. One downside of the strikes are the absence of more members of large unions in the demonstration who would come to support the strikers.
