More Strikes in Yankeedom: 2,000 Hospital Workers out in Buffalo

It is tempting to think that hospital workers are quitting their jobs because of the long work hours, combined with the  danger of working with a huge number of Covid cases. But the reasons for the high turnout go beyond this. The problem is also the low pay of the workers, which is really what this strike was about. The strikers reason that higher pay is likely to increase staff retention and make the job easier for workers who already are working. Myopic capitalists are too blind to understand this elementary logic.
