It used to be that the reach of Mordor’s global power resided in the control of the oceans, along with six chokepoints that included canals, straits and nodes. Today this is no longer the case.
The Yemeni Houthis have directly attacked both trade ships and the ships supposedly guarding them. Because of this some countries have opted to take more expensive sea routes and normalizing global trade is difficult. The reputation of Mordor’s Navy has been undermined. Its members are not used to being shot upon.
