Italian Far Right Win Anemic Italian Election

What matters most in this Italian election is not that a clearly right-wing party won, but the degree of the low turnout. Twenty four percent of the Italian population did not vote. This is more than any party received. Secondly, the right-wing party is split over whether or not to support Russia. This party will have huge problems because the cost of electricity is the second highest in Europe. Lastly, the Italian economy has failed to grow and is now considered “the sick man of Europe”. In a country like Italy no political party can be expected to do well.
