One of the tricks citizens of Yankeedom are expected to learn is that the manner in which we are expected to manage our family budgets, at the micro level, has nothing to do with how the Yankee state manages its budget at a macro level. The national debt is 30 trillion dollars. That is 7 trillion dollars more than the entire GNP of the country. What are the causes of this and what are the consequences?
