Is Entrepreneurship Inherently Capitalist? “No” Say Some Worker Cooperatives

“Entrepreneurship” is a word that capitalists “own” as part of their propaganda against socialism. Socialists have been conditioned to treat this word as a loaded vice word and stay away from it. However the author of this article says that entrepreneurship is older than capitalism and was used as far back as the Middle Ages. Think of an entrepreneur as a kind of project manager who organizes and directs a venture and troubleshoots for problems. This person may not own the enterprise itself. Swimming in a capitalist cesspool cooperatives need project management in order to compete with small and large capitalist businesses.
