Going Red, Not Green, Will Save the Planet

It’s pretty amazing to see a story about capitalism’s impact on climate change and global warming in corporate media.

This article by Benjamin Y. Fong in the NY Times explains that no matter how much recycling, composting, and installing solar power we do, it will not stop global capitalism’s insatiable drive for greater and greater profits at the cost of a habitable planet. So long as this economic system is in place, whatever reforms are enacted to protect the planet from being poisoned will be – are being – overturned in the name of the almighty dollar.
