During our book club meetings many topics and issues come up that are not necessarily related to whatever book we’re reading. We put them on a list to be addressed at more length separately. Once every 6 weeks or so we choose a couple of those topics to have a more full-bodied discussion about at the forum. We open it up to anyone who might be interested, while the book club requires more of a commitment, to come and share their thoughts, questions and ideas. The topics typically generate a great discussion.

The topics for the January Forum are:

1) Radical Strategies and Tactics (especially in the light of Ferguson

2) Sociology and Psychology of Subordination

  1. a) What are the mechanics by which people accept their subordination
  2. b) What are the conditions under which people are likely to rebel
