Secondly, Mordor’s self-delusion in imagining it could decouple Russia from China would8 make Walt Disney blush. On the Europeans side, arming itself against Russia assumes Europe has anything Russia wants. Europe and Mordor are performing a puppet show on Plato’s cave, but no one is watching. The rest of the world is increasingly getting locked into what Russia, China and Iran have to offer.
