One hundred and sixty years ago England was on top of the capitalist world. But by the end of World War II it was a minor world power. Since then, thanks mostly to Margaret Thatcher and the right wing policies of the Labor Party, England has become the weakest economy in Europe. For working class and poor people it is the worst in 100 years.
