It’s a week before moth-eaten slogans are trotted out about the great Mordor Democratic Republic. Yet the political practice of the US makes a mockery of whether the US is Democratic or a Republic.
If there was truth in advertising, since WW II the US should be celebrating Dependence Day. It depends on countries all over the world for its products. It requires overthrow and assassination to keep its products coming in. In therms of democracy 40% – 45% of its people don’t vote and have not done so for well over 50 years. Slavery and genocide are long-standing political policies.
