This is a very interesting article about farmworkers in California, including the heroism and reports of sexual abuse by Cesar Chavez. It contains the rise and fall of the entire movement.
The article rightly points out that instead of blaming the leaders, if the union has organized itself in a democratic fashion the workers would not be as helpless to confront Chavez around the direction and expansion of the movement.
